Rough patch

We all go through them. And my little family is going through one right now. Money problems. Health problems. Yuck! Been praying for some relief. And for some good news tomorrow as hubby goes in for a CtScan to check out a mass near his left kidney. Hoping the skies will clear up soon...

We had some rain this evening and it left the neighborhood all shiny and clean.

Busyness

Wow. This article really resonated with me. If you don't want to read the whole article, the gist of it is that we feel we must be busy to feel productive and useful. But that free time is really important to our overall well-being. Having more time than money has always been important to me, but I tend to lose sight of that when making major decisions - like buying a house that is too expensive. In order to keep said house, I have to work two jobs. Granted, the kids are living in a nice neighborhood, but I think they would have been just as happy in our old neighborhood. Lesson learned. But learned a little too late. Can't sell the house right now, so we will stay and I will continue working too much. It is nice to know that I'm not the only one who feels that free time is so important. Lazy people unite!
